Damian Rogers:
Work History
From 2002 to 2011, I practiced mainly commercial litigation in Ontario, starting with a mid-sized commercial firm in Toronto and later with a regional firm north of Toronto. After doing prosecutions work as a standing agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, I decided I wanted to find work as a full-time prosecutor. I enjoyed being on my feet in court, and I found prosecutions work fulfilling. In 2011, I moved to Edmonton and to start a job with the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS). I have worked as an Alberta prosecutor since then. For the past eight years, much of my work has been in management. I am currently a Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor in Edmonton and co-lead the office’s team responsible for file screening, early case resolution and docket appearances. Previously, I managed a prosecutions office in Wetaskiwin, Alberta and supervised a team responsible for prosecutions there and in several circuit points around central Alberta.
Damian Rogers:
Leadership Experience
I have the skills needed to contribute effectively to the governance of the LSA.My work in management with the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service requires collaboration with diverse justice system participants and stakeholders and has strengthened my ability to work collaboratively, make difficult decisions and manage complex problems. For eight years, I was an executive member of the Alberta Crown Attorneys' Association, where I advocated on behalf of prosecutors to our employer and spoke publicly and in the media about appropriate resourcing of the criminal justice system.During my private practice career, I was on the team that organized the transition of a law firm's business from its founding partnership to a newly formed partnership. I then joined the management committee of the new firm.In addition to my hands-on experience, I have built my management and leadership skills through continuing education courses in strategic management, project management, change management, finance, and human resources.

Damian Rogers:
Community and Family
I have volunteered with Edmonton community youth and sports organizations as a leader and coach. In 2025 and 2026, I performed in community theatre productions with Players de Novo, a company composed of lawyers and judges that raises money for the Edmonton theatre community. This year, I became a volunteer operator of streetcars with the Edmonton Radial Railway Society.I am a proud “Theatre Dad” to a teenage performer. I enjoy spending time with my family in the mountains, canoeing and kayaking, and travelling.
